Sephora's Makeup Palette To Go - BCA Edition

Pink clothing, pink accessories, pink kitchen appliances....
Yes, I'm super obsessed, so when I see the chance of getting cute makeup in pink packaging, I jump at the opportunity.

That was the case with this little makeup palette. It is a travel friendly palette that includes eyeshadows, lipglosses and a blush.
Let's get the specs in order first. Straight from Sephora's description:

Thankfully I was blessed with full eyebrows, then again I'm hairy all over and that's not always a good thing. Still, I cannot complain, my eyebrows have always been something I'm proud of.

So why am I reviewing an eyebrow product?
Well, nothing is ever perfect and there is always room for improvement. Being that I am a girl who always like to learn, I wanted to learn how to make my eyebrows a little bit more polished, hence why I bought this kit.

Anastasia has many, many products to enhance the look of your eyebrows, and although I am drooling over their Kit for Perfect Brows and Eyes, I cannot afford to dish out that amount of money for a product I've never tried.

You read it, haul/review. What's a haul/review. I can't find a right name for it, but basically it's a mini review of several different products from a same brad. Just like the one I did for eyes lips face (e.l.f.) cosmetics.

E.L.F. Haul/Review

You've all heard of E.L.F. right? No not the little guy that helps Santa on the holiday season!

I mean Eyes Lips Face cosmetics. It is this super affordable makeup brand that provides decent quality makeup for a steal!

Now, just because it's cheap it doesn't mean it's no good. This brand has many cosmetics and tools that are actually a bargain and work pretty well.

There are things that aren't so well, but for a price like that I'm willing to take some risks.

So, for me to get some of these E.L.F. products I need to make a trip, and it's hard for me because I have a little one to take care of and I don't drive. So what's a girl to do?

I signed up for E.L.F.'s newsletter and they're always sending me promotional codes and special events where you can get discounted shipping, or a certain % off your purchase. I've never taken advantage of these because none of them seem good enough.

So, I now present you my mini haul.

Please be aware that since this is a haul and review in one, I will not go into much detail about the products, I'll just provide the basics and we can discuss a specific product in the comments section if you want to know more ok?

Coastal Scents 88 Matte Eyeshadow Palette

Hey guys, here I am again with another great find to review for you. This time it's in the form of a much cheaper product.
It is the Coastal Scents 88 Matte Eyeshadow Palette, what a mouthful right? Well I made it a point to give you the full name since there is a couple of other 88 palettes from them, one of them being the shimmery one which looks almost like this but as you can assume, it has shimmer.

Anyway, let's get this review started, shall we?

Over the beginning of my beauty tutorial experience on YouTube, I came across few videos that included this palette. Some of them were reviews and others were tutorials were they would show you the many looks you could create with it. Now, as some of you who are just starting with makeup, you have the precognition that name brand is always better and in some cases you are right, but back then I didn't know that cheap didn't necessarily mean poor quality as in the case of Coastal Scents products.
So I ignored it. Yes, this palette was everywhere, all the beauty channels had at least one video about it, yet I still ignored it. That is until the boyfriend started complaining about his wallet, he mentioned something about going broke I think. So I was on a mission: to find great makeup at great prices. That's when this palette came to mind. I looked it up on the website and it was less than $20, oh emm gee!
I couldn't believe it so I had to do some research.

Turns out that palette was a great buy, the colors are gorgeous to say the least and the pigmentation is pretty nifty, Not only hat, but you get 88 eye shadows to create as many looks as you desire!

I watched video after video educating myself on the matter and once I made the decision to get it I realized I had another problem. Shimmery or matte?
I'm a shimmer all the way gal so you would think that the choice was obvious right? Well not really, you see most of my eyeshadow palettes are already shimmery and although I love to sparkle, I wanted some colors that could help me create a more toned down look. Still, I watched more videos to help me choose and I finally decided to get this one. I figured that I could get the other one later on if I really wanted.

So I placed my order and a week later my order arrived. I was so excited, it was huge! The palette itself was a bit smaller than I expected though, but experience has taught me that isn't always a bad thing. It is super portable, I can put it in my bag and be ready for whatever. Not that I carry makeup palettes wherever I go, but it suits me nicely for when I plan to spend a weekend at my family's house.

So on to the good stuff. The colors are beautiful and vibrant, they are sectioned into bunches, not rows, because some rows contain other colors, you'll see what I mean when you get to the pictures. You have your greens, and your neutrals, golds, purples, blues, blacks and my favorites: pinks! Each eyeshadow circle is about the size of a dime I would say, but they are so pigmented that you only need a little to pack onto your eyelid and blend. This is great for someone who is just starting out with makeup and wants to experiment with color.

So how does it look on your face you may be wondering. Well I used Marlena's video from her YouTube channel Makeupgeektv right here, where she teaches you how to do a smokey eye. Now I'm not talking about the black on black smokey eye, I mean any type of color smokey eye you want to get and since I like pink, that's the color I used. Oh my goodness my darlings, I was so impressed with the colors and how it looked, even my boyfriend who is completely uninterested in makeup thought it looked beautiful. I have to say that this is one of those great buys where you will be completely satisfied.

Now I know this was a long review and I thank you for reading all the way through. Sometimes I like to give the back story behind my purchases and reviews so you can get an idea of what incites me to buy a product.

So what's the verdict? I give it a million lipglosses!! Oh wait, I can only issue five.

Urban Decay's All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

I bought this product about a month or so ago from Sephora.com . I was a bit skeptical though, I usually don't purchase things that claim to do so much unless I have some feedback from actual users and this didn't have any on my most trusted online places. Still I figured, what the heck, I took take a chance and bought it for mother's day.

So what's the "All nighter" spray you may ask. Well taken from Urban Decay's website:

This groundbreaking formula mists on, ensuring that your makeup won’t budge for 16 hours. Really. Weightless but powerful, All-Nighter’s temperature control technology keeps your makeup from melting down when it’s warm and humid, or dehydrating when its cold and windy.

Those are pretty big claims if you ask me. Well here's the rundown.
At first glance, the bottle is a bit smaller than I imagined. Granted, you only use a couple of sprays when you apply it so I suppose it would last you a while.
The smell is subtle, com to think of it, I don't think it smells like anything really.
The application is quite easy. Just shake and spray then let it dry.
One tip of advise though, apply this just after your foundation and don't be silly like me and spray it after your mascara. I had a bit of an accident and my mascara transferred onto my skin when I applied this.
It dries completely and it doesn't weight down, you don't actually feel it.
Now, onto the good stuff: Does it work?
Yes and no, let me explain.
My makeup did last longer than usual overall. I tend to sweat a lot, be it winter or summer, and being that is summer I sweat even more, even if I'm just walking I still sweat, yeah it sucks. So my makeup did melt a bit, but not as much as if I had only applied a powder so my face did not have streaks, it looked kind of nice actually (minus the sweat.)

Bottom line is, I guess that if you do not have the same problem with sweat like me this product will work great for you, personally I do like it and I still use it. I'm sure come fall/winter this would be better for me. Regardless I do recommend it and I give it:
